What is Rosetta?
Rosetta Calendar is named after the Rosetta Stone, an ancient tablet found in Egypt. It allowed scholars to finally decipher hieroglyphics because it contains the same message written in hieroglyphics, demotic and Greek, just as Rosetta Calendar displays the same date in multiple calendar systems.

Gregorian calendar

This is the calendar accepted world wide for commercial use. It was introduced in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII to correct inaccuracies in the Julian calendar's placement of leap years, but many countries did not accept it until years later. For example, Britain in 1752, Russia in 1918 and Greece in 1923. [more information]

Hebrew calendar

This is the calendar used by the Jewish religion. It is a lunar calendar which means its months begin and end at the new moon. As a result, leap days cannot simply be added to a month because it would get out of synch with the moon. Instead, a 13th month is periodically added. Warning: This calendar was observation-based in ancient times. Using this website's formual-based calendar for biblical dates can give results that are off by several days up to more than a month.
